CONFIDENCE STARTS HERE
PRESENCE. PREPARATION. PROTECTION
Monarch Security Group is a Vermont-based, full-service security company founded by Galen Blodgett and Cody Guyette to provide professional, adaptable security for businesses, organizations, venues, events, and private clients across the state.
Our leadership brings experience across private security, corrections, investigations, government contract work, security consulting, venue operations, crisis management, de-escalation, workforce leadership, and complex field operations. Our staff is largely made up of experienced security personnel with backgrounds in public safety, corrections, investigations, private security, and related operational fields.
Monarch’s work has included executive and artist protection, secure transportation, commercial and corporate security, event and venue operations, crowd management, access control, emergency planning, and command coordination. Our teams have supported nationally touring artists, major public events, resorts, municipalities, community organizations, businesses, venues, and private clients throughout Vermont.
Those operations have included multiple security teams working simultaneously across protective assignments, transportation, backstage and restricted areas, stage operations, crowd management, access control, threat response, emergency planning, and coordination with client leadership, production personnel, tour management, law enforcement, fire, and EMS. Monarch has supported operations serving audiences of more than 15,000 attendees.
We operate through planning, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and professional execution. Every assignment starts with understanding the people, environment, risks, and objectives involved, then building the staffing, procedures, communications, and contingencies needed to execute effectively.
Monarch was built to be a capable, responsive security partner for Vermont clients whose needs demand preparation, judgment, and professional execution.

Taylor Josephson
Taylor brings nearly two decades of experience across corrections, private security, event operations, and the fire service, giving him a rare combination of security, emergency-response, and public-safety experience. His years as a firefighter and first responder developed a strong foundation in emergency decision-making, hazard recognition, scene awareness, medical response, and operating effectively under pressure.
His corrections and private-security work added experience in controlled environments, conflict management, situational awareness, personal protection, and maintaining order when conditions are unpredictable.
Taylor’s training also includes firearms, self-defense, and range safety, and he is a certified Range Safety Officer. One of Monarch’s original employees, Taylor has helped shape the company’s field standards from its earliest operations. He brings practical judgment, emergency-response experience, and a steady operational presence to assignments ranging from routine security coverage to complex, fast-moving environments.
